The Urinary Bladder Cancer Antigen (UBC) test is a non-invasive urine test designed to detect fragments of cytokeratin proteins released by bladder tumour cells. These proteins—specifically cytokeratins 8 and 18—are often elevated in individuals with bladder cancer.
